Do you really need an App or Card to Engage Customers?
Have you ever been asked to download a Loyalty App or received some form of Loyalty card from a Spa, Restaurant, Café or Retail business before?
Loyalty is an important aspect for a Retail Business to be successful. So most small businesses will have with their own loyalty programs too to engage customers. They usually get their ideas from the larger businesses like Starbucks, Robinsons, McDonalds, etc.
So before your get yours too, the real question to ask is:
“Are you worthy for an App Space or Card Space in your customer’s phone or wallet?”
Usually App & Card strategies work for large chain businesses because customers can easily visit them at one of their outlets.
Together with the attractive perks that come with the Apps & Cards, it’s no wonder why customers are more willing to keep their Apps & Cards over yours. After all there is limited space in your customer’s phone and wallet!
So does this mean you should forget about having your own Loyalty Program?
Apps & Cards are just some channels to reach out to customers. If you can’t win the fight for App & Card space, simply run your Loyalty Program on a different channel with unlimited space.
There are many Digital Loyalty Systems out there designed for different types of businesses. You can find Loyalty Systems that use Email, Facebook Messenger, SMS, etc to engage customers.
Each Channel will have their PROs & CONs, and each System will have different features and user experience too. So it really depends on what features you need and how you want your customer experience to be.
